Tonight, Go Deutschland!  (for 3rd place)  Tomorrow night, Go USA!  Championship Match!  Watch on Fox.

Football (soccer), the only athletic event with a true world championship!

Cheers!

Gordon

Busch, Preiser, Faller, and Vollmer, among others, offer soccer related model items, at least in HO!

If you have a small flat space on your layout at trackside, a soccer field would fit right in.

Ah, yes - HO envy strikes again!  Nothing in N scale.

and England finally won, on a controversial call, after 18 losses and 2 draws in matches played against Germany.  Sigh.

Exciting game, poor referee....many missed calls and bad calls, both ways.  Sad that a bad call had to decide the game.  Valiant effort by both teams!

Cheers!

Hello Everyone:

In all the excitement, let us stay on topic.  May be we need a "Non-Railroad Subforum".  Let me think about it.

Sorry, Ulrich!  I thought "Miscellaneous" covered everything else.  I'll restrain myself in the future.Embarrassed

Photos of the new layout coming in a couple of weeks, after we get back from a camping trip with the Grandkids.

Cheers!

Gordon,

No problem, I created a new subforum for cases like this.  There sometimes are things we would like to share with our friends, but which do not fit with the rest of the topics.  I moved the topic to the new forum.  I am very happy with your interest in soccer.
