I recently bought a Roco #23285 N scale DB V200 locomotive.  The previous owner abused it and one buffer is broken off and both couplers (no doubt "Rapido" standard) are broken, as well.  What I'd like to do is surgically remove the other three buffers and substitute MT/Kadee couplers, instead.  Any suggestions on how to go about this?

Thanks!

Hello:

I would try to replace the buffer, may be scavenging one from an old car.  European trains all have these buffers.  The Kadee's should work with them in place.
