Brand new out of the box:  The main drivers and rods will not move.  Drive in tender is ok.  How to make the drivers and rods move?

    Do not use force.  I would check if something in the running gear is bent out of place.  Put the loco in a foam cradle on its back and try to move the wheels gently(!) and see if there is a problem.
